For the fourth time, the magazine "EDITION F" has awarded the 25 Women Award and selected 25 women whose inventions improve our daily life. Among the winners is EAM member Prof. Marion Merklein.
No matter what means of transportation we take, there is always a light metal at the beginning of the development. However, these metals are not as easy to form as the manufacturers would like. In order to improve this technology, Marion Merklein developed a light-alloying process that immensely improves the industrial production chains in the automotive industry as well as in rail and air traffic.
