FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT: International Congress Engineering of Advanced Materials (ICEAM2017), Erlangen, Germany

The Cluster of Excellence Engineering of Advanced Materials (EAM) is pleased to announce the ICEAM2017, the International Congress Engineering of Advanced Materials, which will take place at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) from 10 – 12 October 2017 in Erlangen, Germany.

The aim of ICEAM2017 is to place 10 years of interdisciplinary research at EAM in the international context of state-of-the-art science and engineering research. Our target audience is local, national and international researchers working in fields where EAM is active.

Abstract Submission

With a mix of invited plenary, keynote and submitted talks and posters, the congress will focus on EAM’s four application fields

  • Nanoelectronic Materials
  • Photonic and Optical Materials,
  • Catalytic Materials and
  • Lightweight Materials,

which are closely linked to EAM´s cross-sectional topics

  • Functional Particle Systems,
  • Nanoanalysis and Microscopy and
  • Multiscale Modeling and Simulation. 

Scientists of international prestige in the fields of the congress have confirmed their participation as Plenary Lecturers:

  • Prof. Cynthia Friend, Harvard University (Theodore Williams Richards Professor of Chemistry; Professor of Materials Science; Director, Rowland Institute for Science; Director, EFRC-IMASC) 
  • Prof. Paolo Samori, Université de Strasbourg & CNRS (Professor of Chemistry; Director, Institut de Science et d'Ingénierie Supramoléculaires (I.S.I.S.); Head, Nanochemistry Laboratory)
  • Prof. Ole Sigmund, Technical University of Denmark  (Professor of Mechanical Engineering)
  • Prof. Andreas Stein, University of Minnesota (Merck Professor and Distinguished McKnight University Professor of Chemistry)
