Cluster of Excellence
Engineering of Advanced Materials
Drawing on mankind’s earliest spirit of adventure, FAU created “Science Sets Sail” as a trip of scientific discovery on the Baltic Sea. FAU researchers and their guests from the Baltic region and beyond will forge new ideas together on the sailing ship ‘Thor Heyerdahl.’ EAM is one of the nine participating institutions at FAU and will offer five places for EAM researchers at a 9 day cruise from Tallinn to Rostock via Danzig from 02 - 11 August 2017.
Further information about the project can be found online: http://science-sets-sail.fau.eu/
To choose the five participating EAM researchers, EAM launched a call for proposals of new interdisciplinary research ideas in the field of EAM that are to be developed further during the trip. This way EAM aims at investing in the most talented researchers and bringing new ideas and new international research collaborations into the Cluster’s environment.
Deadline for application: 5 February 2017
